December 20th, 2007 , Posted in SC Portrait Photographer, Seneca SC photographer…I hope. I have a new way for you to keep up with this Blog (uh, the previous one never worked right). Scroll down looking on the left of the screen, past the list of posts and past the archives until you get to the SUBSCRIBE section. If you fill this out with your email addy & confirm it, you will get an email everytime I post new content. Nothing new – no email! So you don’t have to look here every day. Unless you want to, of course.

complete sweetness
December 20th, 2007 , Posted in South Carolina Children's Photographer, South Carolina Family PhotographerIsabella was such a delight to photograph – the apple of her parents’ eye who quickly worked her way into my heart as well! Sweet, smart as a whip, and sooo well behaved and polite, I could seriously just keep her all to myself. But I think it’s clear that she prefers mom & dad as her first loves:
And is there anything cuter than a little girl missing her front teeth?
Oh my gosh, look at these adorable tights!

I wish I had invented this…
December 18th, 2007 , Posted in UncategorizedFor all of you moms out there who spend excruciatingly long amounts of time getting your little kids ready to go out in the snow: how about this? It zips up easily and has waterproof, warm, built in mittens that don’t get caught in coat sleeves and can’t come off during play! Brilliant!

wedding video that you can’t believe!
December 16th, 2007 , Posted in UncategorizedThis is what today’s brides have available to them for wedding videography – check out this site (go to the "wedding trailers" or "videos" tabs). My favorite is under "videos" then advance to the second set & click on the 3rd from the right "bridal elegance – Sunni". You won’t believe how good this guy is!

back to october
December 16th, 2007 , Posted in UncategorizedJust now catching up with posting the families that I did during my crazy last month in PA! I’ve photographed this family before, and I just love seeing these kids grow and change. Little Liam wasn’t even walking the last time! Of course it was one of those unseasonably hot days, so everyone was a little warm in their fall clothes, but good sports nonetheless…and great shots, for sure!

delightful
December 12th, 2007 , Posted in UncategorizedThe last time I did a photo session for this family they had one little boy…this year they have a darling daughter, too! Joey was a little slow to warm up to the idea of having his picture taken, but we did get some smiles. Isabel, on the other hand, was just at that delightful, pleasant, happy baby stage…you know, before they start to get mobile & then get frustrated by all of the "no’s" we parents shout out to save their lives and our sanity! I’m sure it will be a fun Christmas at their house this year…take lots of photos, Melissa!
love this with Daddy:
Doesn’t he look ornery here?

New changes for 2008!
December 12th, 2007 , Posted in UncategorizedI have been working very hard on getting together all of the marketing & promotional work that I need to do to get my business up and running here in South Carolina. It’s really required a lot of thought, because I really needed to sit down and actually define a business plan and what my goals are. It is kind of fun too…trying to identify exactly what I want my photography business to be in Lake Keowee – I’m starting with Children’s and Family Photographer in Salem and Seneca SC and working my way in to an ever-tightening definition that defines my style.
Anyway, I’m working with a great designer, Rhonda Stark ,to rework my branding, and relooking at the products and services that I offer and getting pretty excited to get going! I’ll be posting more about these as everything falls into place.
The water has risen!
December 9th, 2007 , Posted in UncategorizedOur lake level was lowered pretty dramatically soon after Jim arrived, in order to work on the power plant. Last week it came back up pretty dramatically over a few days, at one point nearly obliterating our beach (!). It seems to be at a pretty good level right now for us although it is still not close to full pond. The drought is still pretty significant here, and they are estimating that we will progress to a level 4 drought condition by mid-February which may mean some more restrictions on water & power use other than voluntary ones (which have been very effective btw – the level 4 alert was initially supposed to be in December). It has only really rained a significant amount ONE day since I’ve been here!
