Jack

I can say that I’ve known this little guy since he was just a twinkle in his daddy’s eye, and every time I photograph him he just gets more adorable! Really, don’t you just want to squeeze those little cheeks and take him home? Mom & Dad are the greatest, too…we always have so much fun chatting at his sessions…and this year they just hit it out of the park for their family shots! Hey Coni, next year it’s ON THE HARLEY at the lake!!!

Following the success of the award winning Dove Evolution video, part

an early present

December 4th, 2007 , Posted in Uncategorized

I had pretty much decided that I wasn’t going to put up any of our Christmas decorations this year, for two reasons: one, I am so sick & tired of lifting & unpacking boxes that I could cry, and two, it will be the first Christmas in 27 years without kids – just the two of us, far from friends & family, and Jim will be working for most of it.

But Stacey & David put their tree up this weekend and it was easy & cheerful, so I decided when I got home that I would muster up some Christmas spirit and at least put up the tree. I drove for 9 1/2 hours alone yesterday, and when I pulled into Keowee Key it was already dark. But the community lights and decorations were all on, and most of the houses were lit up too. It looked festive and pretty. Then, when I drove down our street to our house, I saw this:

Jim had put up our lights on the bushes & shrubs of our house without me even mentioning it! Then when I went in, I saw this:

He put out every last Christmas decoration we had, and put lights up everywhere too! This man has never decorated a tree before, but he wanted to surprise me. I couldn’t believe it. And I just cried. It was the nicest thing I think he ever did for me! (well, those diamond earrings last year were pretty sweet, too….)
