Pittsburgh Wedding

September 30th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Greenville Wedding Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, South Carolina Family & Children's Photographer

This groom will never have an excuse to forget his anniversary – it’s 08-08-08! Shawn & Sarah had a day that started out gloomy & drizzly, then turned out to be beautiful after all. It was a nice bonus but not really necessary, because these two can have fun anywhere and look great while they’re at it. You know that I always try to do something a little unique and personal in the images for all of my wedding clients…as soon as I found out that Shawn was a Pittsburgh city policeman, it was a no-brainer! Here are some of my favs -

New Product – gallery mounts

September 23rd, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, South Carolina Family & Children's Photographer

I have been hearing about this type of mounting from some of my other photographer friends, so I finally decided to try it out for myself. These are called Gallery Mounts – the company describes them as "a modern and cost-effective way to present your images as finished
pieces and display them without the additional time and cost of traditional framing
and matting. The prints are completely sealed with a durable, transparent matte or semi-gloss
laminate, then heat-fused to a densely engineered substrate.
Providing a classic look, each flush edge is then finished with a bevel and an edge
color, heat-fused and available in black or white."

I had those images of me with the granddolls that I have wanted to print, and I wanted to write something about each image to accompany it. These are printed as 10x30s, and they are on the white 3/4" mount. They really are a very nice product! They are fairly substantial, but with a clean modern look. OK, so I’m no product photographer, but I took pictures of one of them today to show you. They will hang in my office in the new house, so I just stuck this one on a hook for now to snap these.

guest bedroom #1

September 22nd, 2008 , Posted in Clemson SC Children's Photographer

I managed to score some GREAT deals on shower curtains & towels for the bathrooms in the new house when I visited Stacey a few weekends ago. She took me to Home Goods, which I’d never even heard of. They were both in shades of sand, turquoise, and  other blues and browns.  I found this quilt online a while ago and remembered it, so I ordered it and got it today. It will go great with the private guest bath for that bedroom. It’s from The Company Store and I see others on there that I like, too….might not be done yet!

Ray & Angelo

September 20th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, Portrait Photographer Seneca & Salem SC, South Carolina Family & Children's Photographer

We really wanted to concentrate on one-year-old Angelo for this session, because Mom wanted to match what we had done for Ray when he was that age. We tried to do some at their home, but Angelo was just a little too comfortable there and was an almost impossible moving target. We moved to an unfamiliar park, and it slowed him down enough to do the trick. Ray was as cute as ever, and who can resist the eyes on these guys?

Ummmm..convenience AND savings!

September 18th, 2008 , Posted in Clemson SC Photographer

I love, love, love my morning coffee with Hazelnut creamer. But I swear I was going through a bottle a week, and where I live now – well, it’s not that convenient to run to the grocery store when I’m out of something. So I was delighted when Jessica brought me a 1.5 liter (yes, liter) of hazelnut flavored concentrate in a pump dispenser, and it doesn’t even have to be refrigerated! Whoo Hoo! And it is only around ten dollars, way cheaper than buying all of those smaller bottles. The downside is that you can only buy it at Sam’s, which I don’t belong to, but my neighbor has graciously offered to pick it up whenever she is there, so I’m all set.

Friday October 17th: 11am, 12:30pm, 2pm, 3:30pm, and 5pm
Saturday October 18th: 11am, 12:30pm, 2pm, 3:30pm, and 5pm

Saturday November 8th: 11am, 12:30pm, 2pm, 3:30pm

If you can’t get in because these sessions are booked, I may be able to offer "stand-by" sessions on these two Sundays if the weather cooperates and we don’t need the make-up days.

Give me a call at 864-719-0130 or shoot me an email at jnafziger@charter.net if any of these work for you!

So sometimes my job is really, really tough. I have to go out on a sunny day and take photographs of handsome young blue-eyed men for their Senior pictures. Don’t you feel bad for me?
