Welcoming Fiona

September 12th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Children's Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, Portrait Photographer Seneca & Salem SC

Fiona joined this wonderful family at the very end of July, and we were able to capture both a maternity & then a newborn session on consecutive trips to Pittsburgh. Her big brothers and sister were just so excited & delighted – I just love the kids’ expressions in all of these! And how beautiful does Mom look?!

Getting closer to a poser

September 10th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, Photographer Seneca SC, Portrait Photographer Seneca & Salem SC, South Carolina Family & Children's Photographer

I really wanted to get a picture of me & Genevieve last weekend since I have a good one of me & Gavin, and I want to hang them together. Unfortunately it rained all day on Saturday, and we left pretty early on Sunday so we only had about 20 minutes. Usually when I bring out the camera it’s all pouts and faces and tongues sticking out. But lo and behold, I don’t know WHAT is happening to Genna but she actually kind of hammed it up for the camera!!! I hope it’s not a phase.

Can’t Keep Up

September 9th, 2008 , Posted in Lake Keowee SC Photographer

I took these pics of the house progress on Thursday before we left…the windows are in…but they are already outdated because the roof is now on (they did it yesterday!). The plumbers are working in there now, we are doing our electrical walk-through tomorrow to firm up where all outlets, fixtures, and switches will be, and we are choosing the granite for the countertops on Friday.

Amy

September 8th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, Seneca Senior photographer, South Carolina Family & Children's Photographer

Amy & her mom managed to combine her senior picture session with me here in SC and a trip to check out Clemson as a potential college choice. Clemson didn’t really appeal to her as much as she’s thought it would, but boy am I glad I got to do her pictures!!! I seriously was blown away by how natural she was in front of the camera, and oh those blue eyes and perfect smile! I could post dozens, but I’ll try to restrain myself….!

Lots of Stuff

September 4th, 2008 , Posted in Lake Keowee SC Photographer

Just a note to touch base with all y’all (do I sound like I live in the South yet? Did you know that "y’all" is NOT plural – "all y’all" is!). I have been overwhelmed with work the last two weeks because of a ton of sessions plus a wedding that I’m working on. Normally I could handle it but the last two weeks have also been crammed with decisions about the house. We are now at the part where everything has to be selected & finalized. So, in the last two weeks I have spent a few days with the cabinet maker, picked out all of the plumbing fixtures, decided on where/what lighting there will be, floor & carpet, railings inside & out, tile for bathroom, etc etc. The last big decision is the granite countertops next week & then I think I’ll get a break. So thanks in advance for your patience. Jim & I are on our way North tomorrow to see the granddolls over the weekend, so I’ll be back to work on Monday.

Field of gold

September 2nd, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Greenville Wedding Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, Portrait Photographer Seneca & Salem SC

Rachel was so well prepared for her session; her clothing choices were so much fun! And Mingo Park was the perfect setting for her. I happened to have a blue paper parasol in my car that matched her sundress exactly. And I was so excited when she brought along her fairytale prom dress – I knew that she would look like a princess in the field, especially with her golden hair loose.
