This is the second time I’ve photographed this little guy…and let me tell you what a difference a year makes! It was so much easier this year; he understood what we were doing & was able to cooperate (ok, so we may have used some bribery positive reinforcement).
Look at those eyes!

And this may just be my favorite family image that I’ve ever captured:

All my life I’ve been a perfect shoe size 7 1/2, and could wear just about any shoe that struck my fancy. This translated to lots of trendy, relatively inexpensive – ok, cheap – shoes in my closet. But over the last year I have noticed a distinct change. Maybe it’s from wearing nothing but flip flops for the past year since we moved south, or maybe it’s because I’m running a lot more and flattening my feet – or, GASP – age-related weakening of my feet, but now I’m somewhere between a 7 1/2 (too snug) and an 8 (too big). Which is making me crazy. But after checking out the Clarks outlet on my last trip home, I am somewhat encouraged. In those better (ie, $$$) brands I’m still a perfect 7 1/2. Granted, they may not be as fashionable, but at this point in my life I’m all about comfort. Also, my friend Jodi was here & raved about her Born shoes, which I tried on; I wear a 7 in those, and they are crazy-comfy. So a little internet shopping, and I now have these on the way – all on sale, hooray!

My friend Shelby just had a baby girl, and I was able to fit in both a maternity & then a newborn session on consecutive PA visits. I love the images that I got of the baby, but I had even more fun with big brother Bryce – it’s hilarious & heartwarming to watch a toddler try to figure out a new baby and all that it means!
First some of Sophia:

Then we put her on Bryce’s lap:

..which only lasted for seconds before he rolled her right off (into dad’s hands, lol!). It was safer to put her in front of him -

And I just love this one…you can just see Bryce figuring out that she is maybe here to stay!
