Highlands, NC Wedding Photographer | worth the wait

August 31st, 2010 , Posted in Uncategorized

I photographed Stephanie’s sister’s wedding several years ago, and her mom called me as soon as Justin popped the question to Stephanie. Unfortunately I was already booked – actually, overbooked! – for June. After a little discussion, Stephanie and her mom decided to CHANGE THE DATE so that I could be there to photograph it! I was thrilled to get the chance to do this wedding, because I knew it would be fun and beautiful, just like the couple (see their engagement session here ). We had a little difficulty coming up with a location for some wedding party shots between the ceremony & reception, but luckily Jason spotted a beautiful field along the side of the road – unluckily, no pedestrian traffic was allowed. We, umm, worked with it.

Greenville SC family photographer | sugar and spice

You may remember this family from last year …one of my favorite sessions from 2009. This year we were at Mingo Park  for photographs, and once again I was reminded how much I love that location. Deep red bridges, blue eyed family, and yellow blonde curls make for fabulous images!

Photographer near Anderson SC for senior portraits | Katy

August 24th, 2010 , Posted in Uncategorized

We seriously did Katy’s senior photography session on THE most hot, humid day of the summer. It was miserable everywhere we went, but she just serenely went with the flow like it was nothing – makeup perfect, hair loose and lovely, beautiful smile intact. This girl is definitely special, and I hope I captured even a little of her sweet spirit in these gorgeous images:

Lake Keowee Photographer | Patrick

We did Pat’s senior pictures while he was here visiting Clemson as a possible college choice. This kid is bleeding ORANGE! We shall see what happens, but I’m sure he will do just fine wherever he lands. A few of my favorites:

Granddolls on waterskis!

August 18th, 2010 , Posted in Uncategorized

Two weeks ago when Gavin, Genna, and Samantha visited they spent a lot of time in the pool. The little kids were just to the point where they would jump in the pool and go underwater (with goggles on!). Gavin still is wearing floats, but Genna is swimming underwater for short bursts.  Samantha wanted to try water-skiing,  so we headed out on the boat. To our huge surprise, Genevieve and Gavin wanted to try too! Samantha ALMOST got up -

Jessica went in the water with the kids to help them. Look at that determination!

Next year I’m sure they will do it. Oh, and here’s what they caught when Tom let them fish in front of our house:

I was not about to tackle turtle soup, so this big guy was safely returned to the water. I’ll post some more family photos soon!

There is nothing like Fair Food!

August 18th, 2010 , Posted in Uncategorized

If I wasn’t buried in work, I would SO take a road trip to the Wisconsin State Fair and get this:

A cheeseburger on a KrispyKreme donut, served with a stick of chocolate covered bacon.  Only $5 and 1000 calories. Might have to try this at home, just for the fun factor (as soon as I lose the weight I gained from eating my friend Cathi’s homemade southern biscuits every morning last week!).  Apparently it is a big attraction at the fair: KrispyKreme Cheeseburger
