Jessie loves Nemacolin Woodlands and knew it would be a wonderful place to have her wedding. Her only regret was that, due to the number of friends and family that would be traveling to share her day, that the ceremony would also have to take place there and not in a church. I drove to Nemacolin early on Sunday morning and while I was trying to find the condos where Jessie would be getting ready, I got lost and took a wrong turn. And passed a tiny stone chapel on the grounds that no one else in the wedding group had seen or even known about. What are the chances that the only person to spot the chapel was the PHOTOGRAPHER?! We knew that it would be the perfect place to do the “first look” – where Darin would see Jessie for the first time. They opted to do this so that their moment would be private (well, except for the photogs and videographers) and that they could then be able to give their full attention to their guests at the reception, instead of taking time to do pictures. Look at the expression on Darin’s face when he sees her for the first time – she was beautiful enough to bring any man to his knees!
Love the shot of Jessie reading a love letter from Darin moments before she put on her wedding gown, hanging in the background:
Could this chapel be any more perfect?
Love these two – Darin dancing with his mother, as Jessie holds her tiny nephew and looks on – bet she’s thinking about the day she will dance at her own son’s wedding, and how bittersweet that experience is. And then the look on Rick’s face as he dances with his daughter just about says it all:
Gorgeous, gorgeous flowers and decor by the bride”s very talented Aunt Marsha!
