I will be in Pennsylvania on March 17 & 18 to do sessions. Normally I do mostly indoor sessions like newborns or maternity so early in the year  because of the weather, but we have had a really mild winter so I’m pretty confident that it will be fine to schedule outdoor sessions too. There are quite a few benefits as well: most people don’t have a crazy summer sports schedule going yet, the timing is perfect for Easter portraits for gifts for the grandparents, and the weather is really great for photos – not too cold, but cool enough to wear lots of layers that look phenomenal in pictures. Sometimes you just can’t do everything yourself. My friend Michelle is a fellow photographer who is a wife, home-schooling mom to three active kids,  and now just gave birth to twin boys! Her hands are VERY full at the moment, lol.  I popped over there the other day to grab some newborn shots of the twins, and of her and her family. It’s so important to capture these fleeting moments, and I was happy to do the session so that SHE could be in the photos with her beautiful family. And believe me, it was fun to work together to get the shots that are pretty hard to do alone. And just look at these little guys – are they not ADORABLE?

I’m cleaning up my hard drives and archiving old sessions, and have decided to offer my clients the chance to buy digital files from their old sessions from 2008 and earlier. I just want to make sure that those who care about archiving have the opportunity to get them while they are intact, as media can age over time and become unstable. I know a lot of my clients scrapbook, or make Shutterfly books for each one of their children, etc. and would want these. I try my best to keep the old files, but after I retire and move to a sailboat on the BVIs I won’t have the space (lol!…but I’m only half joking). This offer won’t likely be repeated since I have now moved to a business model based on digital files, as all future sessions will include them in some form.

I just realized that I never blogged any images from a fantastic engagement session I had in the fall for a wonderful couple. I can’t believe it, because I just LOVED every one of their images! I think it was because autumn is my busiest season (and not because I’m getting forgetful, lol). I am really looking forward to shooting their wedding at the end of the year – I mean, come on. Just look at these two. So in love, and so beautiful and photogenic…I’m going to get accused of using models in my images again! But I promise you – they are two of the nicest people you ever met. And you can BET that I will blog their wedding pics asap!
