It’s time for high school portraits for rising seniors! Lake Keowee senior photos are beyond special…we live in SUCH a beautiful area, and I love taking advantage of all that it has to offer. Because I live right on the lake, it’s easy for me to access the most beautiful spots and harness the most beautiful light to create stunning images that go FAR beyond typical senior pictures. Forget the prop-crazy and fake stuff you see on Pinterest that everyone thinks is so “cool” but has actually been done. to. death. Stop with the “blowing glitter from your hands” pose, the holding up of chalkboard signs, the “wet look” stuff, etc. etc.
This is just a peek at the many images that I have been editing for those in the class of 2016. I work hard to make sure that my images reflect the personality of the senior that I am photographing, and that they aren’t overly “sexy” or over-processed. I also take a lot of time posing them carefully so that their smiles aren’t forced and they don’t look stiff or uncomfortable. I see so many images on Facebook that don’t have any sort of connection in the picture…for instance a teen standing on a bridge, who doesn’t look like he knows what to do with his hands. Or a girl leaning awkwardly against a brick wall, with her head at an odd angle. Or an image where the eye sockets are dark and you can’t see the color and catch-lights in their eyes.
If you are looking for a senior photographer who will capture YOUR daughter or son in clean, timeless images that show their natural beauty and good looks, give me a call at 724-986-2625 and we can chat. I happily photograph seniors from Seneca High School, D.W. Daniel High School, Pickens High School, Walhalla High School, West Oak High School, and many others in the Upstate.
