Merry Christmas Darling | SC and PA photographer

December 22nd, 2008 , Posted in Greenville Wedding Photographer

Another PA session in the snow – just perfect for a romantic engagement session. Amy & Mike are getting married at the end of May (yes, Jason & I are shooting their wedding) and these images will be so different in their guest book! I'm going to post a lot because there are so many that I like…such a fun, adorable couple!

Pittsburgh Wedding

September 30th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Greenville Wedding Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, South Carolina Family & Children's Photographer

This groom will never have an excuse to forget his anniversary – it’s 08-08-08! Shawn & Sarah had a day that started out gloomy & drizzly, then turned out to be beautiful after all. It was a nice bonus but not really necessary, because these two can have fun anywhere and look great while they’re at it. You know that I always try to do something a little unique and personal in the images for all of my wedding clients…as soon as I found out that Shawn was a Pittsburgh city policeman, it was a no-brainer! Here are some of my favs -

Field of gold

September 2nd, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Greenville Wedding Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, Portrait Photographer Seneca & Salem SC

Rachel was so well prepared for her session; her clothing choices were so much fun! And Mingo Park was the perfect setting for her. I happened to have a blue paper parasol in my car that matched her sundress exactly. And I was so excited when she brought along her fairytale prom dress – I knew that she would look like a princess in the field, especially with her golden hair loose.

A little play…a lotta work!

July 24th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Children's Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Greenville Wedding Photographer, Portrait Photographer Seneca & Salem SC

I’m back from visiting the Granddolls and doing seven shoots in PA…so I’ll be hard at work over the next few days answering messages and sifting through about a hundred emails. Here’s a shot of me with Gavin that Stacey took last weekend; isn’t she great with a camera? I resisted the urge to Photoshop out the wrinkles…heck, I’m a nanna and I earned those lines in my face!

The ultimate “trash the dress”!!!

As promised…Brad & Bonnie took full advantage of the balmy evening and the beautiful pool at the Inn. As soon as their reception was officially over, they leaped into their future together:

brad and bonnie

This wedding took place at the Ligonier Country Inn, and Jason & I were so excited about shooting it because it is an absolutely breathtaking setting. However, it started raining HARD soon after we arrived and just didn’t quit. We normally spend quite a bit of time before the ceremony doing bridal images plus families and wedding party outside, and we just didn’t have that chance. We were forced to do a lot of stuff indoors, under porches, & in doorways, cramping our style & forcing us to be more "creative". Fortunately, with a bride this gorgeous, that’s not too hard! -

Brad & Bonnie finally had to give up their dream of an outdoor ceremony about 30 minutes before the scheduled time, since the rain clearly wasn’t stopping or even slowing down. We moved everything inside, and had a lovely ceremony anyway! We switched around the wedding events a little, hoping that we would get even a tiny break in the weather to go out & get some nice shots but finally, losing light fast, we decided to go out anyway with umbrellas to do what we could.

And then we went into the hotel bar -

And then, lo and behold, when we stepped out onto the hotel porch, it had FINALLY, blessedly stopped raining! We were able to get everything I’d hoped for & then some -

working vacation

June 12th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Children's Photographer, Greenville Wedding Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, Portrait Photographer Seneca & Salem SC

Jim & I are off to PA tomorrow & will be gone for 10 days. First, Jason & I are shooting a fabulous wedding on Saturday in Ligonier (see Bonnie & Brad’s engagement session here ). Then Jim & I are leaving Monday early for Punta Cana to do Katie & Craig’s wedding (their engagement session here) – we are friends with their families and also have a lot of mutual friends that will be there, so it should be a blast! I am not sure how much access I will have to phone/email, so I will take care of any client issues when I get back to work on the 25th.

wedding belle

Jason and I were thrilled to shoot Terri & Mike’s wedding on Memorial Day weekend for two reasons: one, they were eager to devote some time to getting good shots which is half the battle, and two, it was a gorgeous day with (un-Pittsburgh-like) BLUE skies!
Lots of favorites:

Celebration of Something Special

April 19th, 2008 , Posted in Greenville Wedding Photographer

Summer is coming, and with it the huge wedding season – which means that a lot of you will also be celebrating special anniversaries! If you are going to celebrate a milestone anniversary this year, why not consider a couples session? Perhaps you didn’t get the kind of wedding photos on your Big Day that you dreamed of – you were just starting out and on a budget, your photographer didn’t do the type of artistic images that are popular today, or you were simply too rushed on the day of the wedding to have the time for romantic shots. NOW is your chance to do a session that captures all of what makes your relationship special! We can do a regular session such as my engagement sessions, where you are in jeans & casual clothes & just being yourselves; or we can do a Trash the Dress session (here for background ). Don’t worry if you can’t get in your original dress (only 10% can), you can pick up something long & flowy anywhere!
Just  think about being able to have a wonderful series of romantic images in your bedroom as art, or a keepsake coffee table book that celebrates you both as a couple (and not just as someones’ parents, lol!).
Drop some hints to your hubby that this would be a fabulous Mother’s Day or Anniversary gift for you!
