I have a rather large list of fun crafty projects that I would like to make, and this year I have challenged myself to actually DO some of them. I’m proud to say that here is one that I just completed:
It’s a fun chalkboard sign that counts down the days to…well, whatever you want! I got the instructions to make it from here but I did change it up a little. I only used chalkboard paint for the whole thing, instead of doing the middle with regular black spray paint. I was able to make three of these from one board, so now I can give the extras to my daughters. If I had to do it again, I would likely NOT peel the stickers off. Instead I would just adhere them over the final coat of chalkboard paint, because I didn’t like the bleed-through and it took too much time to touch up with a paint pen. This was easy for me because 1.) I’m at Lowe’s all the time, so it was easy to pick up the board and have them cut it for me, 2.) I ordered the letters from Back 40 Life (3 sets), and 3.) I already had the chalkboard paint because we are getting ready to paint one wall in the granddolls bunk room with it! Can’t wait!
