Clemson SC portrait photography | Perfect homemade gift

My friend Deb & I are always on the lookout for cool, fun little gifts and we came up with a good one – these lariat-style homemade necklaces! We bought a 5 meter spool of thin  leather cording, 5 sets of matching beads (with openings large enough to fit the cording through), and 5 metal rings (about an inch in diameter) at a bead shop (but I feel sure you could find something at a craft store as well). We cut the cording into five 36-in pieces, looped each around a ring, then tied a bead to each end. Voila! We found that a heavier bead made it hang a little better. They look so good with tops with a little neckline. Here’s Deb modeling one (and you can see how it’s put together – easy peasy!)
