There was a time (quite a long time actually) that I lived without an egg cooker, but I am purposely blocking that out of my memory. I’m on my second one now, and let me tell you that I would give up my microwave before this baby. Well, not really, but still.
If you purposely avoid kitchen “gadgets” for space and storage issues, you might want to rethink that policy for an egg cooker. They cook eggs however you like them – hard boiled, soft boiled, or poached – perfectly and quickly EVERY TIME. While you are doing other things. More important things, like checking Facebook.
They don’t make the one I have anymore, but this one is very close. It has an automatic shutoff, which other brands and models do not. Just put your eggs in it after you use the included tool to make a pinprick in the shells, add the correct amount of water according to how you want them done, then cover it and push the button. Done.
Oh, and did I mention they peel like a dream?
I make hard boiled eggs weekly to use in salads, to make egg salad sandwiches, and to make pickled beets and eggs which I keep in a jar in my fridge for snacks. So my egg cooker gets used A LOT!
